Apollo English is one of the leading and most reputable English training centres in Vietnam. Always a pioneer for teaching English language as a foreign language, Apollo was also one of the first language centres in Vietnam to create a junior-only centre, called Apollo Junior. Doodle’s team had collaborated with Apollo before, helping them to define their brand. Now, we were invited into the process of creating a use experience and interface to integrate with their latest exciting development, the Apollo Innovation Center, in Vietnam.
Putting the users – the students and teachers – at the heart of the entire designing process when creating the key templates for the UX/UI structure. That included everything from log-in to profile management, dashboard display, satisfaction rating and a pick-and-choose function for an avatar, as well as teachers’ usage and guide templates… The flow and design needs had to be simple, consistent, yet effective and easy to understand and use. The look and feel needs also had to be aligned with the overall brand guide and identity. This quick turn-around project not only required a strong understanding of Apollo’s brand and story, but also a deep, empathetic understanding of the students and parents’ behaviour in the online learning process. In the end, ‘The Teachers At Home’ interface and digital experience we co-created and delivered has been warmly received by teachers, students and parents.
